These trunks are gorgeous. My son loves them. The only issue is that they run large. He typically wears an xl in traditional shorts, and I did not take his measurements. But I figured it'd be fine and that they might be a bit loose. They are very loose, but he's happy and willing to keep them. Just know that they run big.
